Wheelchair Accessible Caravan - Designed for our guests with special needs. This luxury 2 bedroom wheelchair accessible caravan sleeps 4/6 persons with one double, one child's twin bedded room & a sleeping area in the lounge - all with duvets. Heating in all rooms and  a microwave.

ACCESS STATEMENTS

Introduction

Woolacombe Sands Holiday park is the closest holiday park to Woolacombe's main beach, only a 10 minute walk via public footpath. We are a family run business with self catering units available for hire April-October, and accept tents, trailer tents, motor-homes and caravans.

Booking and Arrival

Booking is advisable via telephone 01271 870569, in person, or by visiting www.woolacombe-sands.co.uk. However, during quieter periods, camping and touring can be booked on arrival.
On arrival guests are requested to park in the booking bay (to the right of the entrance). A disabled parking bay is available outside the Reception, Clubhouse and Shop alongside parking for another 4 cars. There is a public bus stop available for bus and coach drop off adjacent to the Holiday Park entrance.

Public Transport

Woolacombe Sands Holiday Park is accessible by bus or coach. Trains run regularly to the nearest town, Barnstaple, where the bus station is a 15 minute walk. Buses and taxis also run from the train station. Visit www.devon.gov.uk and click on the transport link for local timetables.
Woolacombe Sands Holiday Park does not operate a collection service, however local taxi numbers can be provided from the Reception.

Opening Hours

The Reception hours are:- 8.30am - 7pm Low season (Mon and Fri to 10pm)
8.30am – 10pm High Season

Static caravans and chalets can be occupied from 4pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.
Camping and touring pitches can be occupied from 2pm, and must also be vacated by 10am on day of departure.
The Clubhouse is open throughout the season with varying opening hours and entertainment. Please ask at the Reception for details. Clubhouse membership is included in the price of full-price holidays. Sun breaks and short breaks are subject to an extra charge for Club Passes.
Disabled access and toilets are available in the clubhouse.
Children’s entertainment is available throughout the season. Please note the Woolacombe Sands Holiday Park does not offer day time activities for children. Please visit the Reception for local places of interest.
The Swimming Pool is open from 8am - 8pm and offers disabled access and changing facilities.
The opening hours of the outside swimming pool are at the discretion of the management.
The Shop’s opening hours vary throughout the season, please ask at the Reception for more details. The Shop has a sloping access. It also offers a fridge freezer for the use of freezing ice packs.
The Amusement Arcade can be accessed from the Reception or the Clubhouse during opening hours. It is situated over two floors. There is no lift; however the ground level can be accessed via the swimming pool entrance, where there are no steps.
The Laundrette is open from 8am to 8pm.
All times and facilities are open at the discretion of the management and we reserve the right to amend times without prior notice.

Accommodation

Woolacombe Sands Holiday Park offers the following accommodation:

Touring caravan/Camping pitches with and without electrical hook up. All self catering units and camping/touring pitches offer parking next to the unit/pitch for the allocated number of vehicles per unit.
Wheelchair Accessible Caravans are available, either pet free/smoke free or pet friendly, please arrange at the time of booking.
Camping and touring caravan pitches are also available on the avenue level with the Clubhouse, Reception and Shop, allowing accessibility.
Woolacombe Sands Holiday Park has toilets and showering facilities for guests that are touring/camping. These, alongside washing up areas and disposal points, are free of charge to all guests. Disabled toilets/showers are available on site with key holder access – please ask at the Reception for details or see the site map in the brochure for further details.
Dogs are welcome in self catering units, and if camping, at a charge of £5 per dog per night. We also offer pet free and pet free/smoke free accommodation. Please state these requests when booking. Assistance dogs are welcome in Pet friendly units and are free of charge, by arrangement, when booking. Dogs must be kept on leads and under control in all public building areas.

Mobile phone networks are available, subject to reception – please check with your network provider.
All our employees are trained in disability awareness and health and safety.
Wheelchairs are available from the Red Cross (to be collected from the Reception) – please contact the Reception for details, or arrange at the time of your booking.
Menus are illuminated in larger print in the Clubhouse.
First Aid is available from the Reception or Clubhouse during opening hours.
An emergency number is available on the Clubhouse door when closed or alternatively dial 999.
A public phone box is available outside the Club/Shop 24 hours a day.
Recycling is available on site – please ask at Reception for details.
There is a dog walking area at the top end of the site.
