Events in and around Woolacombe!

Woolacombe Dunes Park Run - 9am every Sunday - Meet on Marine Drive, just past the Porthole Café 

Cruises about the Ilfracombe Princess, and rides on Adventure Ribs -  Daily - weather permitting, departing from Ilfracombe Harbour. Book at Woolacombe Tourist Information Centre 

Yoga at Studio Kind Braunton - Monday mornings 7am - 8am 

Pilates at Studio Kind Braunton - Monday evenings 6.30pm - 7.30pm

Additional Events: 

2nd & 3rd October XVi, Newlyn School of Art Mentoring Programme: Pop-up exhibition at Studio Kind Braunton. XVi artists are a legacy group from Newlyn School of Art On Year Mentoring Programme. Since their launch show at the PZ Gallery in Penzance in 2019, they have continued to collaborate, and this two day pop-up show represents a chance to see how their work has developed in the last two years. Uniquely, all 12 of the artist will be in the gallery during the show, taking part in small group crits with their peers, and visitors will have the opportunity to share this experience and talk to the artists.

8th - 22nd October Entwined, Mike Snudden and Nicolette McGuire - Exhibition at Studio Kind Braunton. Entwined is a collaboration of shared space between Mike Snudden and Nicolette McGuire, both who use different approaches to explore common theme of memory, location and materials. Mike and Nicolette met on the MA Fine Art at UEW in Bristol in 2023, and whilst on the surface of the work appear to be very different in convept and outcome, the piece offer a reminder of who we are and where we are going. 

18th - 22nd October Pre-Schoolers Mini Monsters Ball at The Big Sheep

Halloween Nature Trail at Baggy Point, Croyde (National Trust) during half term - details to be confirmed.

23rd - 31st October, Halloween Hocus Pocus at Milky Way Adventure Park Families can enjoy a fabulous family day out with a little extra Halloween-themed fun - all designed to be fun rather than scary! Your Little Horrors are invited to dress up for the daily Fancy Dress  competition too - there will be a prize every day for the best! Ride the Halloween Express, bump around the Spooky Swamp Dodgems, catch Merlin's special themed show to be wowed by his special brand of spooktacular fun and join the fun Treasure Hunt to win a sweet treat (open to children 0-12 years). Of course, everyone who visits the Milk Way over the half term period will also get to enjoy all the other adventures, amusements and activities on offer there all year round, with rides, slides, shows and activities designed to entertain the whole family. 

22nd October Silent Disco Woolacombe Village Hall 7.30pm - 1970's fancy dress optional. Tickets available from Woolacombe TIC - £10.00 per person. Proceeds to North Devon Hospice.

23rd October - Local Bands at Woolacombe Village Hall - with Jenna Witts and Small Town Jones. Tickets available from Woolacombe TIC - £5 per person.

23rd - 31st October Half Term Halloween Spooktacular at The Big Sheep - Halloween Crafts and Rides, Monster Disco, Fancy Dress and Pumpkin Carving. Booking online essential. 

23rd, 24th, 26th, 27th, 28th & 29th October - Halloween Half Term at Watermouth CastleThe Castle and park will be dressed up in it's own unique way. Watch out for witches, cauldron's, a huge witches broomstick and pumpkins galore. The Giant Cauldron will be back, with your chance to win daily prizes or even a free family ticket! So dig out your spooky outfits and jump on a broomstick over to Watermouth Catle for Halloween half term hijinks. Booking online essential. 

24th October - Our Natural World, The Park Community School: Pop-up Exhibition at Studio Kind Braunton. Students from various different year groups at The Park Community School in Barnstaple will be coming together in 'Our Natural World' - an exhibition that explores, examines and celebrates the natural forms that are part of our everyday; whether it's shells on the beach or plants in our house. The influence of the natural world are all around us. There will be work in a variety of mediums; from ceramic to print-making, and we cant wait to welcome this new generation of artists to our space.

25th - 31st October - Halloween Events at Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur ParkFancy Dress, Halloween decorations and Halloween Dinosaur Trail. Booking online essential. 

28th & 29th October Art & Photography Exhibition Woolacombe Village Hall - celebrating the local landscape 10am - 4pm; free admission. 

30th October - Brundle's and Pull The Pin do Halloween 2.0 - Celebrating Halloween in style this year in partnership with @pullthepinspritis. Be the first to try Pull the Pin slushies. Chuck on your best costume and have a boogie. Tickets are £5 per person which can be bought via DM on Facebook or Instagram, or you can e-mail us at [email protected] Prizes for the best dressed. Over 18s only. 

31st October - Farmers Market at Woolacombe Village Hall 10am - 1pm During the event, there will also be a showing of Beaford Art's Film 'Down on the Farm' featuring local farmer Wayne Copp. Free admission.
